Ms. Casshandra “Cassie” Samuel was born and raised in a single-parent home with 3 siblings (1 sister and 2 brothers). Her mother left the cottonfields of Minden, LA with no education in order to come to Los Angeles, CA to obtain her G.E.D. and continued to further her education. Following her mother but putting her own purpose driven twist on the learning environment by joining the United States Navy at the age of 17 that carried on a World-Wide Tour of Life until retirement (Active Duty USN OCT 1998 as DCC(SW) and Civilian Service Naval Sea Systems Command SPAWAR as a GS-12 APR 2017).
HISTORICAL MILITARY CAREER: By the Grace of God: Cassie has a well decorated, military career in the United States Navy where she retired as a Chief Petty Officer (E-7). She participated in the “First Women at Sea” programs which were groundbreaking legacy programs that opened doors for the implementation of women onboard combatant ships that entered into war zones in the late 1980’s-1990’s. Cassie’s historical service record is listed in the Women in Military Service for America Memorial in Arlington, VA . She is a 100% Disabled Veteran.

Casshandra “Cassie” Samuel currently lives in Beaumont, CA where she enjoys serving the Riverside, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles County Communities. Service in various platforms and committees of 501 (3) c’s that align with our Mission and Vision to include but not limited to: DAV Chapter 12, Carol’s Kitchen, and Habitat for Humanity San Gorgonio Pass Area gain access to Veteran Resources to help improve and uplift and empower our lives be the best that we can be with our disabilities.
